Who are these
holidays for – love or business? Let’s not spend money unnecessary, let’s not
get caught by marketing tricks or glittery scrap, what will end on your shelf
as a dust collector.
To create a
celebration will not need much money, but need time and a wish to create it.
How to create
celebration in this day? Not to spend money on pretentious things, here you are
some ideas how to make this day more special than others.
- Celebration breakfast. You could cook a breakfast what would be especially dedicated to this day. If you are short of time then a sandwich a shape of heart (you could use a biscuit cutter shape of heart to cut a cheese, ham and even bread).
- Celebration tea or a coffee with a twist. Tea or coffee served with a special chocolate or a biscuit on a side, like in a coffee shop.
- Sweet reminder about yourself. Sweet note or some sweet little thing (sweets, chocolate,...) hidden in your sweethearts pocket or bag, what will make him or her smile, that somebody is thinking about you.
- Celebration dinner. Good old saying says: “The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.” We could surprise him with his favourite dish or with something new and unusual.
- Beautifully laid table. Dinner is served on finely laid table (using special linen and tableware for this occasion).
- Dedication to your loved one! Write sweet or with humour poem to your loved one. Put in special envelope and put in the book he or she is reading or can put in a post box with hand printed stamp.
- Laziness together! Spend time together in front of TV ...having treats and hot drinks and do nothing all evening!
- Self knitted socks. If you are a keen knitter, then you could knit warm, soft socks in bright colours what will cheer up everybody in this cold weather!
- Music. Record his favourite songs or songs what brings up special memories on CD.
- Dress code. Dress up!! Or wear something extra romantic to make this day more unusual!
- Help with daily jobs! Draw vouchers what will offer things as massage to start and can end with offers like daily tasks what you would offer to do instead of him or her.
- Radio. On this day all radio station has created a special programme. Turn the radio on to create a cheerful mood!
If you think,
then all couples has their own ways and
daily rituals, what can be accomplish more special on this day without spending
any money on unnecessary things...love can be proved with jobs and care about
each other rather than with amount of presents.
Should think and
care about your sweetheart all year round and not only on 14th of
February, to try to compensate all year’s neglect!
